BRAD CHRISTENSEN
PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Brad Christensen is the President and Chief Executive Officer for Ponderosa Hotel Management Services, with offices in Prescott Arizona. Ponderosa Hotel Management Services was founded by Brad Christensen and Mark French in 1998. In his capacity as the President Brad is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Hotels operations. Since he began his career in 1985 in the hotel industry, Brad has been instrumental in the development and management of the following hotels:

1985-1989
President and founding member of Dakota Motels Inc. and Dakota Motels Management Inc.

These Corporations were formed to Purchase and Manage the 141 unit Auto Lodge Hotel in Lincoln Nebraska which was later franchised as an Econo Lodge Hotel. Brads duties were numerous and ranged from organizing and negotiating the initial lease/purchase to on site Hotel management responsibilities. After moving to Arizona in 1989 Brad sold his interest in this Hotel.

1989-Present
President and founding member of Dakota B Lodging Inc.

This Corporation was formed to Develop and operate an 85 unit Econo Lodge Hotel in Flagstaff, Arizona. This Hotel was later franchised as a Comfort Inn Hotel. In the development and construction phase of this project Brad supervised all aspects of the design, development and construction of the Hotel. After the Hotel opened Brad assumed the position of General Manager and was responsible for all aspects of the operation. Ponderosa Hotel Management Services continues to manage this Hotel.

1994-2005
President and founding member of BLR Properties Inc.

This Corporation was created to Design, Develop and operate a 59 unit Comfort Inn Hotel in Santa Fe New Mexico. Within a few years an additional 24 units were added bringing the total number of rooms to 83. Brad was responsible for assisting in site selection, financing and supervising design and construction of the Hotel. In addition, Brad was responsible for the hiring and overseeing the activities of the General Manager. The Hotel was sold in 2005.

1999-present
Managing Member/ Administrator of Northern Arizona Hotel Group LLC.

This LLC was created to develop the Marriott SpringHill Suites in downtown Prescott Arizona. Brads responsibilities included site selection, financing, and the supervising of the design and construction of the 83 unit Hotel. Within a few years this Hotel added additional rooms which brought the total to 105 units. Ponderosa Hotels Management Services LLC. is responsible for the ongoing management of the Hotel.

2001-2006:
Managing Member/ Administrator of Santa Fe Hotel Group LLC.

This LLC was created to purchase and renovate an 81 unit Ramada Limited Hotel in Santa Fe New Mexico. After the renovation the Hotel was franchised as a Hampton Inn. Brads responsibilities were to initially locate this redevelopment opportunity, negotiate the new franchise agreement, secure the financing, and supervise the renovation of the Hotel. This Hotel was managed by Ponderosa Hotel management Services. The Hotel was sold in 2006.

2007-present
Managing Member/Administrator of Prescott Hotel Group LLC.

This LLC was formed to develop a 92 unit Marriott Residence Inn in Prescott, Arizona. Brads responsibility was to select the site, arrange the debt financing, and supervise the design and construction of the Hotel. Ponderosa Hotel Management Services is responsible for the ongoing management of this Hotel.

2012-present
Managing Member, Woodlands Hotel Investments, LLC

58 unit Sleep Inn, Flagstaff

2013-present
Managing Member, Sheldon Street Hotel Investments. LLC

66 unit Quality Inn, Prescott

Additionally, over the years, Brad has served in different capacities on many different civic and professional Boards and Committees.

Brad has lived in Arizona since 1989 and currently resides in Prescott with his wife Margo and daughters Savannah and Sierra. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Mount Marty College in 1977.
